e85 parts list?
99 donor car with stock 99 block.
I have a Walbro 190, 550cc, and SS lines from the tank to the engine bay. The SS lines came with my Exocet and have a stock click that is meant connect directly to the cheap ass fuel press reg. So question are what parts do I need starting after the line into the engine bay? Can I run the stock fuel rail or do I need a m-tune/FM rail? Yes I searched, results sucked. |
I don't think there is any reason you would have to run an aftermarket rail unless you wanted to. That being said, I'm probably going to, as this is a common stigma in the Subaru's when going to E. Just make sure to use lines rated for that fuel and plenty of injector and pump for your application. I'm likely going to run a DW300 pump and ID 1,000cc's for an FI application.

Unless you're running a lot of boost, there is no real reason to run a fuel rail at this stage. I've been running E85 through my 99 motor for nearly a year now with no problem.

I think we just tell everyone to PM 18psi with their questions. That is the best solution. :giggle::giggle::giggle:

if you're n/a you don't really even need anything at all. just tuning, heck on n/a NB's you don't even need injectors to run e85, you can actually get away even with the stockers (though they'll be maxed out). you CAN replace lines and all that crap, but all modern cars I think past 96 or so have teflon coated fuel lines, and your stock pump will support e85 n/a, a wally 190 will do that even better. teh 550's should be more tahn enough for n/a, and stock fuel rail and all other components are totally fine too. so basically, you have everything you need. put in e85, tune, and enjoy once you go boost you'll need injectors and pump for sure, and once you go past 300 you will need a fpr |
