Has anyone actually used the cx rods with the supplied generic bolts?

what's your application or HP goal?I'd try to source ARP bolts for piece of mind. Their quality control is going to be unmatched to a generic, possibly china made, bolt. If you have a rod bolt failure you'd basically scrap the whole engine.

Sorry, i should have said in that last post that i sent them a messaged to see if they even offered ARP branded bolts. I found the claim interesting that the no name bolts would be as good or better than ARP. I guess its not terribly crazy to think that they would be ok to use. Hell, who would have thought that the rods would be good?

I would be curious to know if anyone is running rods with the bolts they provide. Only ones that i have found with ARP bolts are 5/16 and starting at $270ish. However, titanmotorsports on ebay is selling Scat rods with 3/8 ARP2000 bolts for $304 shipped.
