EGR - Delete or Not Delete - That is the question.

i have an '03 with an FM II setup complete with Hydra 2.7. I realize that the EGR is not controlled by the Hydra as it was with the factory ECU. Is there any particular reason to remove it? It is connected at both ends since the FM manifold has the proper connection. If I do remove it, aside from capping it off on the manifold side and putting a plate on the intake side do I need to remove the valve itself and block it off as well?

If if there is no benefit to removing it I'll leave it in place.

Just leave it. It isn't harming or helping anything.

Thanks! Leaving it works for me.

If anything you'd be better removing the Hydra than the EGR :v

It's mostly an aesthetic thing. If you got a reason to get into it and want to clean things up, yank it out. If you aren't just itching to clean it up there isn't any reason to mess with it. :bigtu:

Thanks for your opinion, but the car is running well with the Hydra. Do we all have to do things the same way?

Metal muffins....I like the bikes on back. I carry two road bikes sometimes. They look bigger than the car.
