Default EGR / Emissions testing question

Alright so my smog check renewal papers should be here any day now, so I put all my stock manifold/emissions crap on to pass smog.

Keep in mind I'm in SMOG **** CALIFORNIA

I have everything back to stock except my engine is built and I have the 9.1:1 lower compression pistons. The ONLY other thing that worries me is my EGR tube is disconnected from the manifold and blocked off at the other .

It wont fit with the coolant re-route.

Started the car up yesterday, drove it around for 10-15 minutes, it drives fine and there are no check engine codes thrown.

Should I be fine for smog test? Or will it throw a code or possibly not pass? I'm completely clueless on how much of an impact the EGR being blocked off is making on my emmissions.

Anyone have info on this?

PS: those of you that are not boosted, HOLY **** HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH BEING SO SLOW???!!!! I wanted to kill myself driving it

1: I don't know what I would do if I had to deal with inspections.

2: I'm thinking that as long as it doesn't throw a code, the EGR really shouldn't matter. I assume that everything is wired, but just no EGR pipe. You might actually have someone pull codes to be sure there isn't anything there that isn't showing a CEL.

3: It is my incentive to finish the other car every day that I leave work and get blown off the line by minivans....or Tauruses...or pretty much anything else.

go ahead and unblock it on the intake side and leave it open to atmosphere. It will not pass readyness if you are OBD 2 until you do this. my car ran fine on the stock ecu with it open to atmosphere. . . it passed readyness within a few minutes of driving and then the others cleared too.

As for smog instead of OBD2 readyness... no clue

I have a scanner but the cel stays off so I didn't even bother to scan. Is it possible for it to throw one but the light not come on? I'll scan tonight again just in case.

And yes, everything is wired up and operational. The ONLY thing is the TUBE is off and blocked off at both ends. Otherwise everything is in place and hooked up.

PS: it feels SOO slow I felt like jumping out and just running. Probably would have been faster

Please let me know how it goes.. I've been thinking of making a new manifold without the EGR, but my Emissions test is stopping me as I don't know what the EGR is doing and how it effects the stock ECU tune which I would be running during the test.
