Exhaust bolts
Edit -
Thought 1.8 Miata used bolts for manifold and was searching for studs. DOH! |
Wait do you mean studs from the head to the exhaust manifold? If so why do you need ARP ones. I have not heard of anyone that has ruined those without doing something stupid them-selfs.
|
I havent ruined any of the factory exhaust manifold bolts, but am looking for ARP exhaust manifold studs, because they are generally easier to remove later (bolts frequently seize). Furthermore the stud/nut system are smaller in profile, making it easier to torque them down in tight spaces.
If I cant get ahold of any, Ill just reuse the factory exhaust manifold bolts, but it would definitely save me some time if I had some ARP studs.

If you have exhaust manifold "bolts", you're doing somethign wrong. miatas came with studs from the factory (head to exhaust manifold like shuiend asked).

Still it is really irreverent because like I said I have never heard of someone having a problem with stock ones. Unless he means from manifold to turbo, then in that case he needs Inconel studs from TSE or V-Bands from you. |
Haha, this is what I get for doing internet research BEFORE removing the manifold/turbo. I thought I remembered bolts, not studs but you guys definitely have more experience than I do.
Thanks for the clarification! |
