EDM/JDM 01+ 1.6L Intake Manifold
Is there any interest in the late model 1.6L intake manifolds that were available in Europe or Japan? I have the opportunity to get one, and wonder if I should (I don't have a 1.6L). They visually appear (from pictures, I don't have any physical comparisons) to have longer runners and a larger plenum volume than the early 1.6L intake manifolds. According to Wikipedia, the engines had a 2 hp bump, but also included a front mounted cam sensor among other things. I am unsure if the 1.6 head changed at all from 89-01+.

Why on earth would you spend money on 1.6 parts if you don't have one in the first place? The 1.6NB mani does bolt up to the NA head, I have both laying around.
The 1.6 NB heads (which you guys don't get) are different from the NA heads. They also have solid lifters like the 1.8 NB heads.
But again, why?

Because I have a shipment pending export, the price on the manifold is right, and I can add things on for cheap shipping wise if it was something desirable. Sounds like these aren't really worth it without the NB6 head, so I'll pass it by.

Unfortunately the ones I've been seeing are bare manifolds sans TB (the pic above was from ebay uk and better quality). If I can find one with a TB at a good price before I need to ship, I'll pick it up since that'll be a decent upgrade for somebody. They can source their own NB6 head.
Solid lifters ftw.

I have 3 of those out of some friend's parted-out cars... 300$ and one is yours.... it's a GOOD deal (for me :P), btw!
They were SO satisfied about NB 1.6L, that they preferred buying a 1.8L instead of fixing some minor issues (i.e. small crash, or damaged by weather, etc.)... I'm one of those!!!!
As other EU (and US) guys already told you, don't throw money in our stupid 1.6L parts.
If you will ever seat on a 1.6EU 1st thing you are gonna ask yourself is: "my old FIAT Panda 35hp was faster than this car".

And while I personally have no plans to ever have a 1.6L, or even advocate for the 1.6L, different strokes move the world. Some people really like the 1.6L.
