Grams injectors, any good?

Long story short, I have some Grams injectors that came with my (used) KW rotrex kit. No idea what they actually are, except the fact that they have adapter hats on them and they were advertised as 330cc (which is not much even for my targeted 200hp). I also have a cleaned and matched set or RX8 yellows, but I would much prefer the more modern EV14s instead.

Would you give Grams a shot? Should I sell both and buy the FF kit?

P.S. Car is a 1.6 EUDM NB2 running on MS2e

Buy new ev14, sell all others. :likecat:

If the RX8's are cleaned and truly matched and you're serious about stopping at 200hp that's what I would run. Mainly they aren't worth much anymore since the clones have scared everyone away from running them so you're kinda stuck with them. Most people don't stop at 200 and end up buying bigger, in which case go straight to EV14's.

If you listen to conventional wisdom on this site you shouldn't turbo unless you have ID1000'd and an EFR, while that's a great setup other approaches work acceptably, just not as well. RX8 injectors fall under acceptable but not ideal. The grams are too small and probably EV1 style.

Will have to stop at 200, reliability and driveability are no. 1 priorities here. Rotrex wont flow much more than that without overspeeding it (which i do not want), and keep in mind thats a 1.6. Driveability and better idling is what pushes me towards replacing the RX8 yellows with EV14s.

Guess I will keep the top hats from the Grams and get myself a set of Mustang EV14s

Researching here lead me to Flow Force injectors. I was going to get the drop in Deatchwerks because of the price before someone told me to start researching FF.
The price is even better than DW, and the owner is very helpful. Most importantly idle and even throttle response is way better with EV14s.

Yeah, exactly what I have found out as well, as IDs are way off my budget. Posted aiming to confirm on what injector body the Grams are based on, mostly out of curiosity.

If you have the yellows, then use them. They will serve you well. That has been my experience.

So, after work went to storage, moved a shitload of parts and found the injectors box. The Grams units are actually stamped as Bosch, and their part number is 0 280 158 1xx. The last two digits are unreadable in all 4 of them as it seems they were rubbing against something. By running that (partial) part no. through Google it seems that these are EV14 units. This website (Bosch EV 14 injection valve, 371g/min. 0 280 158 117) has a fairly comprehensive list of EV14s. KW claims they are 350cc, that translates to roughly 237g/min, so the only options are the conical or 2-spray versions. The part numbers for those are 0 280 158 038 (conical), and 0 280 158 116 (2 spray); thus it seems that the ones I already have are 2 spray units, similar to the GT500 ones I was debating on getting.

Weird thing though is that the plug on those is not an USCAR, rather a Denso, so they are PnP.

a rotrex won't even begin to tickle a motor at only 200hp. that's basically like 40 more tq than stock.
