Default Making boost at idle!!!!

So i had the intercooler pipe off with the car idling and my AEM truboost gauge was reading -15 witch is normal. Once i put the intercooler pipe back on my gauge went to -9. So i was like WTF and took it back off and the gauge went back to -15. So i had a friend come over who knows about the microtech standalone i have and rotary's. He said the timing is spot on and my ecu looks like everything is right. Its funny when the car is idling you can hear the turbo and it sounds like it is trying to boost lol. The turbo that was on the car before was smaller and journal bearing but had the same size A/R housing i am running with the new HTA3582r turbo. So i guess this show how much better ball bearing turbos are vs journal bearing turbos.

not possible.

you have a restriction in your piping or intercooler.

seriously... I can`t believe this is actually a thread.

low vaccum on rotaries also indicates low compression. have fun with that, if that`s the issue. there`s a reason I sold my FD.

Falcon we did a comp test cam back 90psi and 87psi. The only thing we where able to come up with is the .63AR 5 bolt back housing is too small. when the pipe is off its normal once i put it on back to -9. It drives fine and has lots of power boost comes on crazy fast.

YES I SAID 90PSI, is normal for rotary's.

90PSI is kind of low. All my REW`s were always in the 110-120PSI mark. I`ve been around rotaries for years, so I`m not talking out of my ***.

if your blow off valve is open at idle it should be venting through it.
if its not you need to figure out why not

Exaclty. This is not physically possible. Your throttle body is closed at idle so I am still not understanding how it is `boosting` at idle.

At 00:08-00:10 seconds there is something sparking in your engine bay right below the turbo. Might want to look into that....

So the OP has really found that manifold vacuum decreases when he hooks up his IC set up. In effect he has determined that there is a vac leak in the IC system.
