Has any one put an 01+ oil pump on a 99 motor?

I'm wondering if it is commonly done and or is worth installing an 01 or later oil pump on a 99 motor when building for a turbo street + 2-3 track days a year application.
Thanks

Yes I agree about the billet gears and see that they have 91.5 to 99 and 01 to 05 gears.
I understood that the 01 to 05 pump had more capacity than the earlier pumps and was wondering if the newer pump was a better choice . Thanks!

I thought I remembered reading someplace long ago that the 01-05 oil pump supersedes the previous pump, and that its output is ever so slightly higher (something like 2-4psi maybe). Assuming it's true, if you're replacing your pump anyways and don't need the aftermarket replacement there's no reason not to use the newer model. Worst case it's the same output as what it's replacing.

Thanks for the input, I think that i will go to the 01-05 pump to have a little extra.
I just hate seeing 35 psi on my NA when it gets hot at the track.
It has been holding up but it is only at 170HP.
