Has anyone installed a fab9 stage 2 intercooler on an NB?
Fab9 website:
"Material must be cut for clearance. The installation requires you to modify the core support, customers report having the installation complete in about 2-3 hours" Does anyone have any pictures, or even a description of what has to be done to the core support? |
look up his own build thread here to start, pretty sure he posted pics

Of the two Fab9 intercoolers, the Stage 1 350hp Fab9 intercooler is the one you want for an NA/NB - the Stage 2 550hp intercooler is overkill and just introduces more weight and volume (ie. take longer to build up pressure).
I think you're confusing Fab9 with BEGi with regard to the "Actually fits pretty good for a fab9 product lol" comment, my Fab9 products have been fine (I have the Stage 1 intercooler). A lot of MSM owners whined that the Fab9 350hp intercooler's cold side barb did not marry up to the OEM coldside plumbing like the eBay intercoolers do, which made fitting the eBay intercooler easy. Non-MSM owners never had this issue since they had to figure out the plumbing themselves. MSM owners should replace the OEM 2" coldside plumbing anyway since it restricts air flow and is only iron so WILL have rust inside the pipe. What's that hole in your bonnet/hood? Do you have an externally mounted air filter/intake/vent? |
He wants the big boy cause he's going for big boy power. The 350 will definitely not keep up with what he's doing. I think you should read his build thread a bit
