Head questions

Ok so i have a couple questions about the valve train. Im rebuilding a 1.6, i have a set of Webb cams that came where previously installed on the motor, the cams seems to have some funny wear to them, the lobes feel fine but look like there not wearing correctly. I believe the Webb's are just regrinds, so the funny wear might just be where they added weld to the lobes? should i be concerned or run them? the head previously had stock springs and valves, the new head has super tech valves and springs.

next question, on the HLA's i bought a ported and built head off a Mt,net member, when i received the head the hlas where just in a bag un-marked. does it matter which cylinders the hla's go into?

Also per the service manual is says if you can squeeze the hla, that means its bad and should be replaced. Is this true? there is no oil in the hlas so they easily can be compressed. i was going to take them all apart and clean them.

From other fourms I have been on, and talk of the webb cams, they seem to lack a bit in quality.

Also the cam lobe is on a slight angle so it will cause the HLA to spin.

Most regrind cams are not weled and ground, but the base circle is made smaller than stock to make the cam lift bigger.

You need to check the cam lift agaist the valve spring specs to make sure you do not get spring bind.
