BEGI is no longer, so that probably makes that decision easy.

Speaking of mush, I hear Cuervo and oatmeal makes a fine start to the day.

I'll have to take one's word for it, but if it's true, that certainly explains a lot.

I personally preferred AEM over both of the above.

I have a MSM and originally bought the AEM short ram, it's just a basic intake, but good. I mainly bought it because Carb Legal. Kept the sticker, sold the intake in order to buy BEGI/Bell tuning as it is the best intake availabe for the MSM. Now it took a really long time, but whatever, just plan for that. Their work is professional, they are friendly and I really have no complaints as they have done their best for a small business. I run a small business of my own and know how it is. I had them custom make my intake as I am running a BNR 16g, and they did so no problem and it looks and fits perfectly. There is alot of complaining about but I feel it has been exaggerated over the years due to word of mouth. In my experience, which I have made about 6 purhchases, I rate them well. I have even boughten a couple small parts to use in custom mods on customers generators and they made it happen for me instantly. Can't complain.

But for an intake for the msm, depends what you want, how much you want to invest. I think the FM kit is a waste of money, but looks cool. AEM is the cheapest, lightest and replaces ALL oem parts on the turbo side, where as FM and BEGI reuse the stock turbo inlet hose. The Aem comes with a smoother turbo inlet hose, legal in CA and makes power, and is located in the right area like BEGI rather then the FM kit, which is longer than the other two options. The FM does come with a new Throttle body inlet, but I think it looks horrible and don't want a BOV nor in that location. The BEGI TBIT has a better apeal, they will customize it for a few extra bucks, like I requested, and it allows a better flow path due to angle, over the FM, as far as I can tell from pictures and looking at mine in person.

Just my 2 cents

Most power gains for msm come from downpipe, exhaust. Then intake.

best mod for MSM is a megasquirt. Stock ecu is horrid.

Just buy mine. I've got the $350 MSM cold air intake and I also have the $80 "Air box for turbo kit, NB chassis" kit. Both are good to go.

Say, $250 for the MSM and $50 for the other. Which one do you need?

Why?

As a related Q, I'm not seeing anyone selling just an msm/nb throttle body inlet pipe. Bell might but PO said he'd tried3x to get one that fit properly, which mirrors my own experiences from a decade ago. Is they a good source for a working/fits right TBI pipe?
