help with trigger wheel on 2000 nb1
So, i have yet to order really any electronics, i know most of what i need, but im having a little trouble understanding how im going to run a TSE wheel on my 2000, since i have a protege VC and am not going to buy an nb1 VC for the intake cam sensor... Too much $$ and the protege vc is supposed to have better baffling. I was originally going to run an na CAS, buttt ever since sifting through all the threads of people talking down on them, i've decided to skip that option.
Soooo that leaves the trigger wheel when i get my MS. I know the OEM 2000 crank sensor wont work, so what sensor do i need to buy? will i need to make a mount for it, or will the stock crank sensor mount work? also is there anything special that will have to be done to my ECU when its being made? thanks. edit: i also found these guys http://trigger-wheels.com/store/contents/en-uk/d5.html better than the TSE wheel? if so, which one should i purchase? |
I'm pretty sure Sav used the crank sensor I clipped off a 2001 parts car.

We sell universal 36-1 trigger wheels. Seems that shipping from GA would cost less than shipping from UK.
A 36-1 wheel will provide better resolution. The TSE wheel will bolt up. You will need to remove 1 tooth from the TSE wheel to make it a 12-1 wheel. Either solution can work great with MS--your call on resolution vs less effort. |

The OEM sensor works perfectly with a 12-1 TSE wheel...been my setup for a while now.
