Default honda intake.

i have a buddy who's selling both integra gsr(b18c1) an b18c5(type r) intake for ubber cheap.

i know and read a lot about the victor-x intake, or other aftermarket parts.
are the oem ones are any good vs the stock 1.6 intake?

thanks

the ITR one would be great to graft onto your 1.6L flange...

Don't bother with the GSR one, not as good as the ITR.

Any honda manifold will be a big improvement over our mazda junk, but the Type-R is king.

Also: I'm very surprised at how cheap that godspeed one is. WOW. That is definitely the way to go IMO

That is what I was thinking. Cut it open (you're going to be welding anyway) and clean up the runners similar to what Renowned Performance does with stock manifolds and you are in business.

I could probably have some 3/8" - 1/2" thick flanges burned on the laser here at work, but I don't have the capital to invest in them at this time. If someone has a CAD drawing handy I could get some quoted. They would be rough and require clean work.

I could potentially run some 3/8" 6061-T6 flanges for $40-50ea. Gotta talk to my bosses about it though.

The ITR manifold is great, so is the GSR.
The GSR manifold has a bad reputation in the Honda community because theyre too ------- stupid to understand how to setup an auxillary output to control the butterlfy valves built into it. So there is this idea that "If you use one, you have to gut it".

That being said, Im not sure if the GSR will fit in a Miata because it hangs down a fair bit lower.

so sorry for the typos, i'm trying my best beleive me ,lol

thanks for the tips on the gsr one.
the type-r intake is about 100$, i think it's better to spend 40$ more and get the forementioned godspeed unit.

I'm in for one if they're $50 or so and you're local to me. Maybe order a pair of mani's and split the shipping? I'm trying to find the right amount of length to cut off the ITR mani to get the right flow/rpm band. Also need one in my hands to try and figure how much my cold side piping needs to change.

What throttle body would you use with this? I couldn't find it in the last Honda manifold thread. And if you use a Honda TB, can the Honda TPS be used?
