I need torque values and clearances.

Anybody have the values I need for a bottom end rebuild? I do not have them in my shop manual, and it's almost time to put the motor back together.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Pat

Got to autozone and buy a book. Like 18 bucks. Then you got them all. And a book on how to work on the car.

Which book is it? Hayes, Chiltons? I have the factory service manual and they are nowhere to be found.

Miata Torque Specifications
Doesn't have the ones you need but some might be of help. They have to be online somewhere.

One would think they'd be available, but I've looked high and low and can't track them down.

I say buy a chiltons at your local parts store then. I can't find them either.
Once you do have them, scan them or something and post them. This is stupid, specially with spec miata and everything, all that stuff should be on here.

Sweet, Chiltons only covers up through 97.

I know the values I need will likely be the same (or not) but it's still annoying!

All the engine torque values and clearances will be the same. Except for on 99+ motors have solid lifters w/ shims vs. pre 99's had hydraulic lifters that required no adjustment. But bottom end it's pretty much all the same. I have a Haynes manual for 90-97. I have a 99' though. But I used it when I rebuild my head, did the TB and W/P, etc.
