Identify these injectors?
1 Attachment(s)
Hi all,
I purchased a car with aftermarket injectors. I was told they were deatschwerks 1000cc injectors, but when I eventually pulled them I realized they were labeled DENSO. Also stamped on the side are the numbers 20, 4590, and 421. All numbers are listed separately in different locations on the side of the injector. I have attached a picture if that helps. I just converted to MS2e and am getting strange lean readings coming from the O2 sensor. I am guessing these injectors are the cause (I.E. they are smaller than 1000cc), yet I can't find a flow rating anywhere on the internet for them. Does anyone know where these injectors came from or the flow rate? Thanks in advance. -Isaac |

They aren't 1000cc and 2. It'll cost more to have them flow checked then it's worth. You can kind of verify by scaling the req_fuel setting in Tunserstudio and see what the idle becomes. |
These are NOT NBFL injectors since they are purple. Dunno what size yours are tho.

I followed your advice and tried a bunch of different values for the req_fuel setting in tunerstudio. It turns out that inputting a flow rate of 750cc gives me a perfect AFR of 14.7 at idle. I guess that means these are 750cc injectors?
Maybe these: https://www.fiveomotorsport.com/md54344-5vz-750cc Anyhow, thanks for the suggestion. I can't say I have warm fuzzy feelings about tuning under the 750cc assumption, but my car does run MUCH better. |
They look like run of the mill EV-? from a Toyota whatever that have had the oem part number milled off and modified to flow whatever CCs. I got screwed with some of those from ebay being sold as new RX8 injectors. They look like exactly what you linked, but there are quite a few players in that game.
I installed some news EV-14 625s and my whole life improved, as did my idle and other car things. Also scaling Req fuel so that it idles at 14.7 is arbitrary at best and youre playing with fire. |

Pick a req_fuel and tune it to the AFRs that you want. |
Your mom is just a multiplier.

Thanks to everyone for the advice. Rather than risk my engine (close to a track weekend) by accidentally over driving the injectors or whatever, I have decided to play it safe and simply purchase the flow force injectors.

Those are indeed great injectors. What do they have to do with what dude asked?

Hi,
Old thread I know, but I've got these same injectors which came with a used FM Hydra turbo kit I bought a while back. Did anyone positively identify them? |
