If I switched from my built 1.6 to a built 1.8, what would I need?

Pending my dyno results this Saturday I may want to do this.

I can get a 1.8 block for cheap and a 99 head for pretty cheap. I know the following parts could swap over.

Head studs
Main studs
Eagle rods

I would need pistons. Weisco's are $474 but I cold sell my 1.6 weisco's for $?

The 1.8 Bell manifold is $409 but again i could sell my 1.6 mani for $? Or, what could I get for the complete motor and start from scratch?

Bearings $100 ish
Gasket set $209 from Finish line. Can definitly get non oem for less.
Water pump/t belt kit $100 ish
Oil pump $100 ish

Machine work and labor I can have done buy the person who built my 1.6.

Thoughts and opinion on what I could sell my 1.6 mani and pistons for?

Reuse clutch and pressure plate or step up?

DP may be in the wrong spot and need to be adjusted.

Corky had suggested to me that the turbo, in relation to the body, is in the exact same spot on both motors, therefore his DP should work if he simply swaps manifolds.

Little else would need to be changed.

I don't see how that is possible, the 1.8 is a longer engine.

I would reuse. I'm anxiously waiting to see what newbsause dyno's at this weekend with his begi IM. If he see's good gains then I also have the option of sticking with my 1.6 and upgrading IM/EM and dp, add WI and up the boost.

Id like to see 300 whp.

It was suggested that the center point on both manifolds, in relation to the body, is in roughly same spot. I had posed the question myself when looking for a new miata and considered 94-95 models.

It might be close enough for "government work", but I don't see how it can be in the same spot. Meaning, there will be some time for a BFH and a long pry bar.

Worst case I would think it would be slightly forward. If that's the case then that's nothing an exhaust shop cant fix.
