That isn't tight. I'd need something like a 3" radius atleast I think. They've been pretty awesome to me in the past so I may call them and see what they can do for me. Last time they sent me 6ft of stainless when I ordered and paid for mild steel but I was mr. honesty and sent it back. They owe me :giggle:

Lol, sorry I meant to address this shockingly expensive stuff you posted here. I'm not paying 50 dollars for one 90* bend. There has to be a cheaper solution even if it involves pie cuts.

Gotta pay to play sometimes. I've never seen anything cheaper for super tight radius bends unless they were custom made with 'pie cuts'

Just get Rick to make you one Phil. Hes local. Or get your new welder buddy to do it for you.

Rick, the guy who had NO time even for you? I'll pass. And Id rather have Wayne do it vs someone who's never made one before.

Lol, I have no reason to go with anyone else. You're my man. I am extremely happy with my current setup (minus not being able to run a/c) and I know that you're getting better and better.

Not for 81 dollars I dont.

What I want, for all of you that are paying attention, is a reasonably priced 3" radius 90* bend. Like this here.

http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/graphics...TL-020_450.jpg

And 32 bucks is getting closer to reasonable. Probably the best I can do actually.

http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant...Category_Code=

And just got off the phone with columbia river, best they can do is a 4" radius. So ATP it is!

Edit: that doughnut would actually be a pretty good deal if I could get 4 downpipes out of it though.

levnubhin Jun 8, 2010 03:55 PM

Even if you get 3 down pipes from that donut it's good.

^exactly - roadracingengineering.com has the 3" mild for $65, and $60 at racepartsolutions.com

levnubhin Jun 8, 2010 04:21 PM

Rave parts solutions is in my back yard. If they charge too much for shipping I can pick it up and send it usps.

spool data on a 2001 with VVT and a big turbo = very good.

They do make a "shorty' that's pretty nice.

and Tim should copy it.

I have never tried to pretend it is possible for me to go without a/c. Hell, even the Miata with a/c, I sometimes end up sweaty just because it can't keep up. Miata without a/c would only get driven if it was under 60 degrees.

Wayne, nice looking mani!! If I ever boost a BP I will be calling in all the favors that you don't owe me, in order to get my greasy meat hooks on one of your manifolds. Looks similar the the mani I am running on my conversion.

By the way why not go with ebay mandrel bends for a downpipe?
