If you end up moving to seattle you might change your mind. Also, we'll all bust your ***** because you'd be the only one running it.

I'll lose it then. Not while in the SE though. 100 degree, humid heat with the sun adding a large factor to the "hotness", sucks! Really, by the time my a/c cools down my all black leather interior, I'm already pulling up to work. Never actually get cooled down and walk around with sweaty armpits everywhere. I blame the Miata.

And this is why I bought a DD with A/C and the miata sits in the garage on hot days.

Just not my style. If I spend money on a car, I want to be able to use it all the time, not just when the weather dictates. I am looking into a more comfortable daily driver though. Not having a comfortable one makes any little Miata project stressful and rushed. I'm thinking an older V6 Accord, since I have had good experience with Accords in the past.

I swear I see an add in the back of GRM all the time for a modest AC unit that is 100% electrical. No belts to run the compressor. Essentially a houshold unit designed for 12V.

I would do that long before changing my setup for AC. **** changing your setup. Your setup is awesome. Put a modular unit in the trunk, and then its also easy to remove.

Edit:

This looks pretty interesting to me, though it will need refills and all that...

By the way why not go with ebay mandrel bends for a downpipe?
I did not make that manifold. That is JayL's manifold but i'm thinking of making something similar for Lev.

I miss understood, I will have to find out where JayL came up with the manifold. It is always good to stock pile resources

Why not TurboTim's A/C and PS friendly low mount design? It's purty.

Forget that! The only time my hotrod has to sit inside is when salt is on the ground. Lacking A/C was cool when your younger, but as you get older (and fatter in my case), it becomes mandatory. It cost a little over a grand to keep AC in my car, but will be worth every penny when the boss and I can relax on the way back from a long auto-x event or concert with the windows up and the AC blasting.

ATP has 120deg bends witha 3" CLR. Much tighter than the "tight" 5" CLR vibrant stuff. I use it often.

EDIT: sorry it's 3" clr. I get the 120 instead of the 90 because it isn't much more (if any) and you get that extra amount of bend.

I don't see how that's much better than my version 2 BEGI FM replacement mani which of course has the added benefit of using begi or fm accessories. My EWG location should work better. But for you matt I'll do anything.

Or do you mean copy the ramhorn? I have my own style that sav should be testing sometime this decade. It's a low mount though. The collector used in the ETD high mount ramhorn is commercially available...that mani would be easy to make.

yeah like artie said! That mani would be the closest to what you have now in terms of spool & whatnot. Maybe not the easiest to fit your compressor in there however. it could be done...where there's a will, there's a way.

Most of the ramhorns I've seen in this thread look real nice

That silicone IC pipe connector desperately needs some heat shielding.

He lies. I use my AC all the time. He doesn't because he only has a 10 min commute.
