Tonight i installed a Walbro pump and my car is inoperable. So i installed it and turned the key on accessories just to make sure it works and it was running 25psi then after a while it woul drop down to 20. I Know the PSI reads restriction not flow is the fuel going back through the return line? or is the lower psi showing less restriction meaning its flowing more? confirmation on this would be wonderful and heres what im working on.

 

More info on the car might help...whether its returnless or not. And whether you installed it properly.

 

96 1.8L stock fuel system except for the walbro and correct installation comfirmation is what i want. The car is in peices right now but i installed the walbro fuel pump and just turned on the accesories to see if it worked and the stock fuel pump held 30psi on my fuel pressure gauge and the walbro has 25 then down to 20 mind you this is when the engine is off just the pump is on. am i being paranoid and just need to wait untill the car is running to see proper fuel pressures?

 

yes. stop being paranoid and trying to diagnose a problem you don't know exists yet
