Installing cam gears

Hello miata turbo members, I was wondering if there's another way to install the cam geara without having to redo the timing belt, removing valve cover, removing crank bolt, etc etc. I had a pair of fidanza cam gears sitting in my room for awhile, I figured it's time to install them. Please let me know as soon as possible, thanks!

I don't think there's an easy way to do this. You still have to bring it around to correct settings, pop the cover, lock everything down, swap gears, ect.
I would get another valve cover to modify. Then you don't have to take the valve cover off for adjustment. When's the T-belt due?

I cut the valve cover and did the timing belt around sometime in March. The only method I was thinking of was removing the valve cover, use 2 adjustable wrenches to hold the cams at TDC. Etc etc.. Lol

I apologize.

You can hold the cams in place, loosen the tensioner pulley, and swap the gear fairly easily, but why would you bother unless you're going to dyno the car and actually find gains?

Sawzaw the block in half and be done with it.
