That intercooler will be fine for a low boost street car. Great price and good find. The silicone couplings would be $10 apiece otherwise.

430 for some used one unknown mileage and condition vs 655 for a new one?

Yeah ok, no thanks.

There's a point at which being cheap/stingy just gets you crap parts and saves trivial money.

OBO. I'm sure you could get it in the 300-350 range. That said, you're definitely right, but ebay's buyer protection is pretty good and if it's **** when you get it, then back it goes.
