Jenvey intake manifold
1 Attachment(s)
Hi
Found and wanted to share. Jenvey is bringing intake manifold for boosting to market. Attachment 192319 |
Who's Jenvey? where is it made, how much are we talking, have any flow numbers, etc???
|
More info please! I never looked into an intake manifold for my car, but I know it would make it a hell of a lot easier to change my injectors. It's a cleaner setup too. Just unsure of what the small runners would do for my torque curve. Then again, I'd say the benefit is for 300whp plus applications, so maybe I wouldn't loose out?
|
I like the way it looks, clean but your right.... short, short runners, however i may be in the 300 hp rang soon... hrm, wonder if it's for 1.6 as well? this gay needs to answer some quetions.....
|
No offense, but there's absolutely no way that runner length will produce acceptable mid-range torque.
|
agreed, wondering if these will be affordable/ available in different runner lengths.
|
looks to be somehting geared twords making alot of top ed power. good manifold for someone tryin to do a big turbo setup for either street or 1/4 mile stuff. prolly make good power on the top end.

Hi
Sorry, all I know their supposed to have 1.6 and 1.8, you gotta google for more, thats all I know. Jenvey is well know'n ITB maker from UK, their build quality is top notch. |

Here's link for the original information. |
It seems that there is much less room for an intake build on a right had drive car like the one pictured because of the brake booster. I bet its expensive.

"Not being an FI chap I don't know how this compares to a typical set up but the injectors go in the inlet manifold instead of the head which I beleive to be an improvement and also the plenum chamber is designed for FI rather than a NA one converted to FI.
Cost wise both kits will be £611 plus vat and include manifold, throttle bodies, fuel rail, and air horns. Also included will be the plugs to bung up the injector ports in the cylinder head. For us NA chaps, the TBs are 45mm bodies and are good for flowing for 250 bhp. I weighed the OEM full induction set up on my 1.8 engine and it came in at about 12 kgs. With this set up I am expecting about a 75% weight loss item for item. Works for me. Some other developments that Jenvey are working on include doing a 1.6 engine set up in the near future so don't feel left out if you have a 1.6 over a 1.8 engine. I also know that Jenvey are working with OMEX the ecu guys to do a complete package of inlet system (as above) and ecu electronics to replace the OEM ecu so no more piggy backing ecu's. Don't know the cost of that yet but I am sure if you spoke to Simon at Jenvey he can guide you as to the latest developments of that package." |
What he said. ITBs are supposed to be 611£, thats cheap for that, so cant believe they'll charge the same from much simple design
|
god $810 bux for that intake mani.... I'll pass, Itb's look sick still

Im not trying to thread crap, but if your showing us somthing that more than the above price then its going to be shot down faily quickly... |
Maybe someone of you who understands about FI could send email and ask details and price from Jenvey
|
lol, details are kinda worthless for 800 bucks when you can have better for half! :p
besides, Savington already pointed out that the runner length is way to short for mid range power/tourqe which is what 75% of the community looks for... |
