K series Miata swap
#205
Quick update - we have all the custom parts needed to get the car running.
Also working on an oil pan/pump design that will maintain OEM steering geometry. Once the car is running and bugs worked out we will be able to test out this option. Again, just going to take some time.

After a little more testing we will begin work on the final subframe and oil pan design.

Basically, the car running and fully drivable, just is open header right now. I've put a few miles on it, everything feels great.
Phase 2 is well underway - I have a V8 roadsters subframe installed, with the steering rack put back to its stock location. I had a custom CNC'd oil pump adapter made that works in conjunction with an RSX-S oil pump, so the rack/pump clearance is good. Now we are just modding the steel oil pan so everything clears nicely.
Once thats done, we just have to finish the exhaust and get it on the dyno.
After that, we will have a 100% functional K24 powered miata that retains factory steering geometry. How about that?
