Default Needing guides for 99 swap

This winter I will be rebuilding a 99 I have and not quite sure how to approach this. I am sure there is a build thread somewhere that has a lot of information and hopefully someone can lead me to it. Basically I need to know what wires to cut and how to clean my 93 wiring harness for a 99 engine. Can anyone help me out? Would be much appreciated for future reference.

What are you doing for fuel injection, CKP/CMP, IAC, and engine mounts?

That is some of the info I am hoping to get, as of now I have no clue. Figure I may just swap the 99 head onto my bottom end but it would be nice to have a spare engine laying around

You'll be able to run the IACV and vTPS with your MS2. I just swapped a 99 1.8 into my 92 1.6 car. There is nothing genuinely difficult or confusing about the swap, the small "guide" FM has on their webpage sums it up well. Flyin' Miata : Tech: 1.8 conversion

Make sure to label everything and take photos when in doubt. You won't need to trim your harness, everything electronics wise works with the engine as you swap over those components from your 1.6

I think I have a 1.6-1.8 coil conversion bracket thingy that I'll sell on the cheap.

I had to massage mine to fit with my BEGi coolant re-route spacer. Otherwise it was a good piece!
