Looking for a Machine Shop in PNW
 

I am ready to rebuild my engine with forged rods and pistons. I have all my parts and everything taken apart.
I need a machine shop to help with the machining and detail work, but am struggling to find one who is:

-Available in the next couple months
-Affordable
-Knows Miata engines

Does anyone have any experience with a good engine machine shop or recommendations?

I too am curious as I live just outside of Seattle.

Now if youre able to cross the boarder. I highly recommend contacting Chikara Motorsports based in Vancouver BC, they're one of the most knowledgeable with Miatas and their attention to detail is next level.

I did some googling and they seem to also operate as K2 Motorsport.

I contacted them and he is preparing a quote for me.
I have like 12 shops on my list and nearly all of them tell me they are too busy to be even remotely interested. Some I have not contacted yet as they seem to ONLY do work on classic cars and I'd prefer someone who has seen a miata engine or three.

Yeah! Ocean from Chikara/k2 motorsports is next level. They were one of the first to squeeze 200whp from a naturally aspirated BP engine. They have a lot of track proven builds and know their way around mazda miata engines. My plans are to first build a n/a motor and get close to 200whp then later will go turbo. But want to focus on reliable track power, been racing for about four years at "low" power level and just now acquired all the head parts then next year will build the bottom end.
