Default 96 head on 99 block

I recently stumbled upon a fresh out of the box reman head for a possible '96 1.8. My current daily is a 99 NB with a DIY turbo and about 120k miles(3k miles w/ turbo).
My question is, is it possible to install my 96 reman head onto my 99 block without any modification. If not, what is my best option to do with this 96 reman head?

Extra info, I also plan on doing exhintake swap, MS2 is being built as we speak, searching for larger injectors (probably install the '96 265cc injectors)

I forgot to mention, I understand the 99 head is better than the 96 head. But I have a 0 miles reman that I want to put to good use.

I wouldn't use an NA head for free with the superior NB heads readily available. Sell it.

+1, absolutely no reason to use a '96 head for anything other than a good doorstop, regardless of its condition. Sell it.

I have a '94 head that I planning on putting to good use.

As something to bolt a manifold flange to while I weld it.

Thats quite a heat sink. The stock manifold, while cumbersome, actually seemed to keep it from warping. Of course I also have a 1/2" thick stainless plate drilled for the head pattern and a t2 flange.

I lied, it's actually still on the car. But that was my plan for it, I think that's what TurboTim does.
