Machine shop in New England (again I know)

Hey,

I'm not on facebook or anything regularly so I figured this is probably the place to go before attempting over at miata.net so I'm sorry to post such a benign question.
Although I had searched the forums in a few different ways and didn't find any specifics on New England are builders.

Just curious if anyone has any experience with any machine shops in New England?

I'm looking to build my '97 M this winter to include a built bottom end and a refresh of the heads.
My uninformed thought process is to tear down the motor on my own and send them a bare block, crank, pistons, rods, rings and bearings and have them assemble the bottom end.
For the head I'd just like whatever is worthwhile to refresh, as I'm not looking for anything crazy. I'm assuming that would be valve seals and a valve job?
Should I replace anything like valve springs or lifters while I have it out and at the shop?

Unfortunately I'm not too familiar with these types and could use any guidance at all possible in terms of what to ask for and what to avoid.

Ideally once this work is complete I'd use ARP head studs and do the final assembly on my own.
I'm capable at wrenching but have never tested myself to this degree.

Any feedback is welcomed.
Thanks!
