Main Bearing Advice

Good evening gents. I am in the process of finishing up a motor build and have hit a brick wall with finding STD size main bearings. I have called quite a few distributors as well as King and ACL themselves and have not had any luck nor has my machinist. He was however able to find a source for main bearings from a brand called "DNJ", which after some further research looks to be a OEM type supplier (I could be wrong).

I wanted to see if anyone here knew anything about DNJ bearings or had knowledge on any other good manufactures that I should look into (or maybe even had a set of ACL/King/Mahle mains sitting on a shelf :naughty:).

I have read some people are just fine with OEM Mazda bearings and I did not know if that would be something recommended for a street car (with potentially some track time in the future) with a goal of making ~320 whp.

Thanks!

The Mazda bearings are the best quality. I would not hesitate to run oe main bearings for that power level. I would recommend the acl for the rods however. I can’t recommend dnj since I have not seen their bearings for this application. They sell products from many different manufacturers and they are probably less expensive for a reason.

Any luck locating a set? I have been on backorder for ACLs for months... ACL's newest target is end of August, but I don't have much faith in that.
