I Took apart a 95 Protégé motor.
I was surprised the MBSP could be connected to all 5 mains but just like the miata it doesn’t have the holes cast in the center cap so it wasn’t. I wonder if the caps are machined close enough that you could use a cap from a different block to connect all 5 mains. I have no idea what that would improve but I thought it interesting. Miataroadster is selling a modified one to connect to all 5 mains. But you have to use billet caps and line bore the block. It would be a fortune to do. Bob |

You are still going to have the issue of the main caps missing the threaded bosses for the plate to mount to.
