Default west coast machine shop reference?

I'm unable to find a performance engine machine shop in my area that has mazda specific tools. In particular, I wish to bore/hone my block and am unable to find a shop in the Portland or surrounding area that has a torque plate to fit an NB miata motor.

Any references for a machine shop in Oregon, or perhaps the Seattle area?

@aidandj there ya go.

Wait for curly to respond. I haven't had any engine work done. I know he has used Clackamas Auto Parts in the past, but may have changed.

FM rents a torque plate for cheap, although shipping adds a bunch.

Yes. I did just get a text that Loyning's engine service in Portland has a miata torque plate. Thanks all for helping me network! http://www.loynings.com/

Don't you have that red mazdaspeed race car? Planning a 400hp build?

I use Clackamas auto parts, but I don't think they have a torque plate.

We do have torque plates for rent. Lemme know if that's the route you want to take.

Sadly, no on the 400hp build Curly!

...I'm just trying to get a spare together for the upcoming season. I'm pretty hard on equipment. My current OEM motor has been over boosted, over-reved and is running a little leaner than I'd like. It's just a matter of time before I'll be showing up on your doorstep asking for tuning help with a new forged longblock.

But, one thing at a time... I just picked up my new MCS shocks from AR auto... and I'm stoked! Thanks for the reference.
