the FSM says nothing other than showing that you remove the 3 flat head screws on the cam nut cover and not the four that hold the two halves of the actuator...

If you pull the big inner piece out it get's even more interesting.

Mazdacomp diagram shows nothing, just that it costs nearly $600. Oopz.

all i know is that spring pin thing pokes into the fixed portion to lock it down when there is no oil pressure in the chambers.

Where is the little round piece that goes on the other part? I hope you didn't lose it.

I've got one off of a motor that cocked a lifter with just a few thousand miles. It was Andy Hollis' CSP engine. Apparently they aren't made to rev to 11!
Shoot me a fair price and I'll send it out. Only catch is that I won't be back in Dallas, and won't be able to ship until November 13th. |
