Mspnp2 and gm flex fuel snesor

Not sure if posting in the right section but i have been searching for a while and cant seem to find a clear way to wire a GM flex fuel sensor on my mspnp2. Do i have to run a wire from the ms to the sensor and what pin is it ?

There's whole section for megasquirt questions, you can use just about any analog input. Open up tuner studio and go to the flex fuel stuff, there is a drop down menu for inputs........ Any of the options in that list will work, just pick an open channel and wire it up. I hear there input labeled "flex" is popular.

You do, as well as a pull up resistor. The pin depends on the MS version. Forums will help with the pull-up (search). DIY's instructions are clear as far as which pin to connect.

I tried to research it but wasnt too lucky with the mspnp2 probably will try to contact diy tomorrow and find out exactly what pin is it on my ms version

ms2 has a really basic flex fuel implementation. Not that great. I would consider upgrading to an ms3.

I ll try my best man, cant really count on google

Ted75zcar 12-11-2016 10:45 PM

Use google to search miataturbo, not miataturbo's search

Ted75zcar 12-11-2016 10:46 PM

And save DIY some time, go to their site and read the install instructions

I got this and it says connector is called flex so should i open the mspnp and there is a pin called flex connect a wire all the way to the sensor and call it a day? Also says i should jump the signal and the positive with a 5k ohm

Better

but more is needed grasshopper. Read every thread, even the ones that aren't PNP specific.

you don't need to crack the box, the pin is exposed in the DB connector

By DB i assume you mean diagnostics box am i correct ?

chrisabidaoud 12-11-2016 11:31 PM

It says on the diy website the pin is DB15

chrisabidaoud 12-11-2016 11:38 PM

I think i got it. Well i hope. Its in the options port on the ms unit and it the first pin on the bottom right if i am not mistaken

chrisabidaoud 12-11-2016 11:48 PM

Another article says to connect it instead launch control pin number 13. well i guess i have to try both and find out
