Well the new word is that its a hammered rod bearing. Got a local guy that preps and races MGs,Lotus's, some Miata's. Showed me a bearing and said "itll look like this when you get it out." So like dynokiller said to do, going to drop the oil pan and check the bearings. He said it wouldn't be a spun rod bearing because it'd be knocking a lot more than it was.

I might even be buying roger's built engine he's selling, but we'll see how it goes.
