NB alternator into NA, does this seem right?

So I've been studying this thread.

My situation is I'm about to drop a 99' 1.8 into my 90' 1.6. My 1.6 is a shortnose with the V-Belt pulleys and the alternator isn't charging properly, neither the less, I don't own a NA8 internally regulated alternator nor do I want to buy one.

The 99' engine came with an alternator, of which I need to make a voltage regulator for.

Here's a wiring diagram of a 99 NB.

According to the AbeFM

Hook the BLUE wire to switched(?) " 12v" battery voltage
Hook the GREEN wire to the Grey/Red wire on the alternator, pin 1-O on the factory ECU.
So the blue wire of the VR will be going to white wire which leads to the main fuse block and the blue wire connects to the grey/red wire which goes to the powertrain module.

This is an application for NBs.

Now here is a charging circuit wiring diagram of a 90' NA6.

In this case, the blue wire connects to the white/black wire going to the instrument cluster and the green wire goes to the white wire which leads to the
80A main fuse block right?

he puts the ribbed pulley on the NA alternator else he gets the hose again?

Huh?

Are you refering to this:
Alternator Control box from Mopar - AbeFM's Photos

To wire up NAPA part number:
New Voltage Reg Napa online MPEVR38SB $15.29 "VR38SB"
Connector for VR above Napa online ECHVRC38 $12.64 (8.99?) "VRC38"
on a '00 miata:

Ground the case, I found it convenient to mount it near the radiator overflow bottle.
Hook the BLUE wire to switched(?) "+12v" battery voltage, pin 1-B on the factory ECU.
Hook the GREEN wire to the Grey/Red wire on the alternator, pin 1-O on the factory ECU.
An internally regulated "Mazda" (Hitachi, Mitsubishi, ...) alt is plentiful and cost the same as any other alt. I.e No need for it to be "Miata".
I use a Mitsu one salvaged from a 323 now, and have another one from a 626 as backup, ...

There's millions of alternators that fit in the junk yard. Just go and look for the easiest one to pull in the myriad of cars that have one that fit. I'm sure someone has actually compiled a list somewhere of all the car models with more or less the same alternator. If not you might have to do a G rated version of Rule #34 on it.

Regulating the NB alternator is a pain in the ass. Go to a junkyard and get a 94-97 Miata alternator, or a Millenia alternator, or an FD alternator, or etc. It's worth the money to avoid the hassle.

Or you could swap the pulleys like brain said.

Okay fair enough guys. But the pulley of the V-Belt is smaller than of the ribbed belt, requiring a spacer or a shitload of electrical tape.. Either way, my alternator isn't the best.

I'll just get one from a junkyard.
