Open you hood and check the throttle body (squared in red below). The throttle cable is to the left of it, and might be bound up on something. If your car does indeed have a 1.8 engine, it has been transplanted from a 1994 or newer Miata, as all 1990-1993 Miatas came with 1.6 liters. Putting a 1.8 in an earlier car involves adapting the throttle body from the 1.6 to the 1.8 engine, and the method the previous owner used to mount the throttle cable might be incorrect.

Here you can see the throttle cable mounting bracket made by FM, what does yours look like newb?

Nice post! Good info here. Sounds like if it is in fact the Greddy kit on the 1.8 that this could be the problem.

Is it just me, or are alot of the noobs lately coming from the played out honda scene? Most certainly have similar grammar/punctuation skills.

I'm going to print out all the forum threads I can up until this post then hole myself in the garage with the welder in one hand and an acetelyne torch in the other waiting for the inevitable rush of hirevtuna zombies searching for new car memes.

Posts like that from you make me wake up sweating and screaming unintelligible crap until I smoke a joint and fall back into an uneasy sleep.
