Need assistance with my 99 IACV wiring
So I'm using a 99 iacv in my 90 but can't find a source that tells me what should be connected the the +12 wht/red and +2 blu/orng of my 90 harness. I know the wire colors for the 99 iacv are vio/red (pin 3O) and orng (pin 3M) but don't know which wire would carry the supply voltage and which would carry the signal wire...also the gauge of the wire is the same for both wires. Can anybody help me out?

Kinda, I'm running a 99 TB on my 94. In theory, its a solenoid and polarity doesn't matter, so mine is just wired whichever way it ended up. Problem is my IACV doesn't seem to do as much as I think it should, so idk maybe it does matter. In for another opinion, thats for sure.

It may not matter but I would like it to be hooked up the same way in my car as it was in the car it came out of.

So could somebody go out to their 99-00 and measure the voltage on both pins for me with the ign on please? I'll mail you a random part if you do!

Answer:
vio/red (pin 3O) is the ground circuit orng (pin 3M) is the power circuit I tried to verify that against the 92 fsm but they didn't list the "circuit" types for each on the 90-93 but I'm going to go out on a limb and say the wht/red should be connected to orng on the 99 harness and the blu/orng should be connected to vio/red on the 99 harness. Anybody like to weigh in on this? Also thanks to brain for hosting those nuggets of goodness! |
