Needle bearing extraction

I need to pull a bearing out of my supercharger, (it's for the bypass valve if anyone's interested).

The bearing is roughly 5x9x9mm in size so pretty small. You can access it from both sides, but access from one side is pretty restrictive, you can't chase it out as the slot is only big enough for the bypass valve's 'shaft' which is the same OD as the bearings ID.

Like this:

So how to pull the damn thing out, I'm not fussed if the bearing is ruined in the process, they're not exactly expensive, but I need to get it out.

I've tried a metal rawl plug and that achieved feck all, I've tried a very thin shaft to attempt to drive the bearing out which achieved feck all. My bearing/pulley pullers are too big to even get 1 arm inside the bearing.

Any ideas?

P.S. swapping the supercharger for a turbo isn't an option ...

E-Z out?

Lever out the race which will likely shatter and spray rollers all over the place then get a screw diver between the case and the body of the charger and try and lever the case inwards collapsing it.

I would use this:

exactly what i was going to suggest. There are different variations of that tool but effectivly serve the same purpose.

I'm not trying that! the casing is aluminium and much softer than the bearing/case.

You can use one bolt, a nut, a couple of washers and two wrenches. one with a outer diameter slighty smaller than the bearing housing and other with its internal diameter a bit larger than the bearing outer diamete
r. You will use that as a improvissed press putting one of the wrenches each side of the bearing while the bolt squeezes them together, pushing the bearing out.

There's only proper access to 1 side of the bearing, you can't get a wrench on the back side of it as the supercharger casing is in the way.

EDIT: I've attached a picture of the bearing.

Even for a washer and a nut?

Yep. the access hole from the other side's max diamater is the ID of the bearing.
