Or just wire up your TPS and do flood clear, beats unhooking injectors.

+1 on painting notch.

No spark at all when I put a screw driver up to the plugs.

Friend came over to check the coilpack with a voltage meter, showed no resistance :( .

I now remember when n3v came over to swap out his COPs for a standard coilpack that I had two coilpacks, one good, one bad.... he used the good obviously lol.

Really wanted to get the car running today :(

So FML.

Ended up getting a new coilpack, quadruple checked my timing, made sure I had the cam gears on right, then................. I decided to do a compression check with the engine. Now I did a compression check on the 01 engine when the vvt head was still on it. The results were normal for a cold engine and only had a maximum of 8 psi of difference.

Results with the 01 block with the 99-00 head:
1 - 120
2 - 90
3 - 150
4 - 180

The head seemed to look fine to me before I installed it, but as you all well know I'm no expert :noob:

So the built block , that had the wrist pin c-clip in #4 missing and rod end-caps put on backwards, did even more damage than I thought. From now if I ever buy another assembled block, I will disassemble it and make sure its assembled right, lol.

Taking the 99-00 head, 94 head with a port and polish, and a spare 94 head to the trusted local machine shop and see what they say about them. I'm hoping the 99-00 head just needs some new valves and that the other two heads check out okay for spares :-D.

Maybe I should sell all my spare engine parts, buy the supertech bits I wanted and have a nice built block for $800(includes a refurbish on my crower rods) then save up for the hotside parts.

I could about write a book on what not to do, lol.
