Oil Catch Can, Coolant Overflow, Wiper Fluid Reservoir Solution

I have been trying to clean up my engine bay a bit by relocating a few things. During this process I have thought about adding an oil catch can as well. That's what got me talking with a friend who has the ability to produce pretty much whatever I can dream up. I thought there might be others interested in the end product as well.

I'm wanting to remove the factory coolant overflow and the factory wiper reservoirs from their current locations. They would both be changed to nice aluminum cylinders and moved back to the firewall along with an aluminum oil catch can. Three nice, shiny aluminum cylinders that would be functional.

As for the capacities, I'm looking for an oil catch can that holds 1 gallon of oil and the coolant overflow would need to be 1 pint minimum, as per the NHRA rulebook (I think this is excessive for the oil, but I try to follow the rules). Anyone else have any other weird rules for fluid capacities for where they race?

He insists on using the highest quality components and wants this to look as good as it functions. It would also be a complete package, there would be nothing else that the end user would need to buy to be able to use this product. Would any others be interested in this? Is there something that you would want changed in order to be interested?

How are you gonna fit a gallon sized container near the firewall?

i got a catch can for 20$ off ebay. made of aluminum with all the fittings and lines. if its not gonna be cheaper than that then its not worth it......i took out my windshield washer reservoir because my CF hood has no holes for the nozzles.

You would think the rule might be relative to the actual fluid capacity of the engine/car. Seriously - one gallon? I'd be curious to see the circumstances under which an engine pump the entire volume of it's lubrication system into that can. That said, maybe that's the point of the rule... so a 911 would need a 3 gallon catch can. :D

Meh, I can't see this doing anything really. Looks are subjective. I would like to clean up my factory coolant and windshield washer reservoirs though as they are less transparent then they should be. If anything, I'm gonna put an "ABS" windshield washer resevoir on mine just to add to the capacity of the factory windshield washers resevoir. But In all honesty, WHY would you move them from their current locations? I think they're well out of the way. IE-what else would you want to put here? Or are you just trying to make that space empty? But then you're cluttering the firewall area...

just make one tank that does everything.

Now that would be nice, 1 tank that contours to the fender well that does all 3. Unfortunately it would probably cost more that its worth.

Go check out the meet and greet section and start a thread there introducing yourself. No jdm drift talk either.
