Oil Squirters in 1.6

In the middle of rebuilding my motor i was unsure if the machine shop tightened my oil squirters so I tried to pull them and broke one. Any suggestions, should I pull and tap it? Where can i find another bolt? I need to finish this motor in 10 days I'm moving to Florida any help would be great thanks.

Would it be dumb to take them out?

ok i heard that some machine shops will remove the squireters when installing aftermarket pistons due to the skirt comes in contact with the squirter, i think one of the advantage to Flyin Miata pistons is that they can be used with squirters due to they clearance the sleeve for them. Maybe someone with more knowledge can chime in. If needed i can mail you a squirter on Tuesday.

It's generally considered that you can remove them for N/A engines, but want to keep them for a turbo build.

I just need the bolt, does anyone know where I can get that?

I would go to Rosenthal Mazda. Quick shipping, great service and they typically have tons in stock. If not, local Mazda dealer.

My Turbo motor builds have been significantly better since removing squirters. Less oil consumption and longer life of pretty much everything in the motor. I recommend removing squinters with aftermarket pistons and ceramic coated piston tops.

I have wiseco pistons eagle rods both forged should I plug them? It took me 20 min to describe what they were to the Mazda dealership in my area and the bolt alone cost $26 and will take 2 days to get here.

i wonder how others feel about removing them. i know fm removes them with their special weisco pistons. i'm in the middle of building a motor. i have them out right now because i was having the cylinders bored and honed. should i put them back in or leave them out?
