overbuilt 1.6 needs reality check
I've been trying to search for 1.6 B6ZE dyno graphs that'll help me get a realistic idea of what I should be expecting. My car is used primarily for drifting and street driving. The engine previously made 385HP and 290TQ on E54, but this refresh is updating a lot of outdated parts, or adding more upgrades.

This was the original tune. 407HP & 331TQ @30psi on E85 with 8.5:1 pistons. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...b403a010f9.jpg A new engine was built and made 385HP & 290TQ @23PSI on E54 with 10.6:1 pistons. Both were tuned by UMS tuning in Tempe, Arizona on a Dynapack. |
These are the new parts that are being installed and what the parts were with the 385HP tune.
Action Fab 1.25" runner turbo manifold (old was street or strip manifold with 1.5" runners) RZ crew intake manifold (old intake was a bell engineering) B16 68mm throttle body (old was stock throttle body with BMW VTPS) Supertech 70lb dual valve spring kit (old was stock) Supertech +1mm valves (old was stock) Supertech solid lifters (old was stock) Fab9 manganese valve guides (old was stock) Fab9 264* camshafts (old was stock) Fidanza adjustable camshaft gears (old was stock) GM flex fuel sensor (old tune was only E54) Link Monsoon X (old ECU was AEM EMS4) Adamat performance twin disk (old was ACT 6 puck) Adamat performance transmission adapter (old was Maverick T2 adapter) BMW ZF S5D-320Z (old was T2 transmission) |
