this maybe stupid but can you run oversize valve and springs while remaining stock camshafts?

Yes, Cams have nothing to do with the size valve you can run.

Ok yes.....ideal no. I would rather run hot cams on stock valves than stock cams on oversize valves from a performance POV.

I've been running stock cams and oversize valves all along. seems to work well. I did get a nice power bump going from a BP4W to a BP5A intake came however. 400HP at 19psi out of a 2.0 liter with stock cams, can't complain about performance.
