Please advise on mufflers

Hi

I am going to fit my GT2554r soon after I pass the MOT for this year, and I think I have everything sorted except for the exhaust. I have a 200 cell stainless cat, downpipe it stitchwelded but I want a final check before I weld it up. It's on an NB with 2004 1.8 VVT engine, BTW. I was planning on running the stock exhaust first, fit something bigger later, but I might go big at once. But what mufflers should I use? I don't want a noisy car, standard level would be nice, but with a lot of flow. I will go 3" front to back. I found 'Turbo' dampers aren't really all that, if you can advise from experience please do. One last remark, I need something readily available in Europe, as I am Dutch. I would love to go to Summit Racing, but after transport and taxes those purchases aren't funny anymore. Fabricating and welding the piping is no problem, just the dampers.

Cheers,

Hugo

Kraken uses Magnaflow mufflers, I think 12249.

Here's mine:

Quite happy with it.

You can get the mufflers from Simons in europe. There are a few dutch stores that sell them. just get the biggest one you can possibly fit in there.

That being said, the Magnaflow muffler is absolutely worth the money if you want a silent exhaust. If you type in the partnumber on ebay you can find a UK and italian seller which would save you shipping.
