Default rebuilding again... need advise for fuel economy 4 turbo

Ok i had a build engine with weisco pistons and it made 200kws at 20 psi.

It seem to be uses a lot of oil like 1L atleast per 1000kms, and chews lots of fuel, it has 805cc tigie billet forged turbo cams and 9.1 compresstion

Now i am rebuilding it because it had low compresstion in cylinder 3, just need some advise on parts.

I am not looking for crazy hp it will be street driven say 95% of the time just want a fast canyon carver and daily driver.

I am thinking of going with 9.5 compresstion for better fuel econemy so sure what people views are but i'll put down a list of things i plain to buy for this build, i really wanted to get this one in 9.5 but they only have 9.1

boundy billet oil Chromoly Pump
Going back to stock mazda speed cams
not sure about port and poilsh yet
is there anything people can recommed doing while, engine is still apart?

Hey bossplaya, you should make an intro thread and tell us a little about yourself and where you are from.
Also, give us some more info about your build.
It seems that you have some sort of turbo setup already. Did you upgrade the rods when the engine was originally built?
What kind of engine management are you using, and what is the best fuel you have available where you are?
Unless you have ethanol at the pump or a really good tune, it is safer to run lower compression pistons.
Give us some more information, and we can help you out better.

i spend over 6k with labour bro m parts, but going to go with bullet proof pistons like ppm that cost 1k.

Its just one of the weisco let me down when cold compresstion would be low in cylinder 3

It wasn't the piston's fault.

Wrong ring gap, improper installation, bad machining, wrong tune. These are all possible causes.

For all out fuel economy the piston location is more important than brand and comp ratio, just bolt any old piston to the floor board under your gass pedal and youll see a huge improvement in fuel economy.
Well in all seriousness high comp and low boost will be best if you have accsess of high octane fuel, the biggest change i see in fuel economy in my case comes from alignment and oem size tires.
I see a 4 mpg jump when i put on my stock size all seasons.

YEAH I have 98 here so am going with 9.5, also i had 805cc cams, i am going with stock turbo cams now, should i tow my car to tune place before i start it up, or just drive it off boost? it usually runs a bit rich on cold and dont want to risk this bullsht again..

also not surpized with ur mpg rolling resistance does wonder, thak *** i have enkies, i usually only get 250km from tank thanks to this fuking **** blow by but hopefully with the stock cams and bit higher comp, if i get 350/400, i wont complain

Hey mate I'm in Australia too and I have a built engine running 9.5:1 CR pistons. Fuel economy is still crap but I have a heavy boots.

I ended up buying a diesel 1 series to drive every day and keep the 5 for serious stuff, it works out cheaper and less stressful!

Cheers

Btw u have a winner of a mx5, i am also in brisbane same modol colour 5 to, top job on urs i'm sure we will bump in real life one day lol

Also i should add that i have a torson 3.9, i could go with this MiataRoadster 3.3:1 gearing, can anyone shed some light how much this would help, i'm gussing a 5% improvment in fuel economy
