pulls to 5k rpm won't accelerate past.

Ok heres the low down. 91 1.6l miata fresh rebuild. New plug wires and new Iridium plugs. Mspnp 2 with begi turbo set at 11 psi, ebay intercooler, 420cc injectors, just installed the 95 miata 4.1 limited slip torsen rear end. I think thats everything minus the data log. Which I'll try and get today.

So here is the low down. Since the rebuild it is running strong, minus a oil leak "oil restrictor on the way" and a coolant leak at the heater core. It pulls stronger than ever up to 5k rpm in 5th gear. Then stops. Boost stays the same engine speed stays the same car speed does not change. It is like it hits a wall and does not move past it. It does not stutter or fluctuate afr, just stays constant with out moving.

Any thoughts, ideas, flaming, yo mama jokes :jerkit:, brilliant plans are all appreciated.

Thanks!

A log would be nice

Yea just started doing this on the way to work today. I'll try and get the log right after work.

Should I throw up my log and my .msg?

Will do!

Problem solved. I accidently changed the VE range to not accomodate past the 5k range in 5th gear. Upped the upper range back to 250kpa and walla all better now.

250kPa is the upper limits of the internal MAP sensor.

250kPa is closer to 22psi. You're talking about running 11psi, which is like 170kPa...

anyways, the MS continues to run past the cell limts, but it just stays at the last value...this doesnt sound like it was your issue.

saverok 01-22-2013 10:32 AM

hmm.. not sure what the issue was then. But running fine now.
