Default Denso injector Part#195500-1350

i was wondering, i recieved 4 injectors from a friend for free since im doing a greddy turbo system on my NA motor, is there any way to tell if the injectors are high or low resistance without anything other then the part #.. but looking around on the web ive noticed that you can't use the part # because both the high and low resistance injectors have the same part number... which ones do i exactly need low or high? im new with the whole boosted motor.. ive only owned NA vechiles. ive searched around on different threads and read about the injectors but can't determine which ones are best for the application and which ones will work correctly with the stock ECU and a E-Manage Blue.?? any help with this would be appreciated.. Thanks Brian

Wouldnt the e-manage only allow same impedance as stock, since its only altering the computers signal? You can tell by the plug offset I think, but I forget which way is which. Im sure someone who knows will chime in.

I THINK low impedance will have an offset tab on the plug, and a high will have a centered tab on the plug. Im speaking of the tabs on the sides of the plugs. Also, what color are they?

if you have the injectors in your possession you can tell in about 3 seconds with a resistance meter.

hi-z injectors will measure around 12-14 ohms
lo-z injectors will measure around 2-3 ohms

Those are NA FC RX-7 Injectors, Red is low impedance, purple is high impedance.. and yes you can tell by the offset of the plug

ok so i went outside this morning and grabbed the injectors and ohm them out.. all 4 injectors are about 12.5-12.9 +/- .1 . they are red.. i do relize that i do need to get all new seals on the injectors since all are missing except the o-ring for the fuel injection rail. will these plug-n-play with the stock miata fuel rail or is there any modification required ex. rx-7 fuel rail reguired? sorry they are such stupid questions!

Im going to completely highjack this thread for a second since its already pretty much answered best it can be.

Excuse the noob question, I know I have seen this asked before, but cant recall the answer, nor did I find anything on a quick search. Is their any other ill effects to running large injectors pre turbo with my MS, just to save having to do it later? Im either doing 460's or 550's, but would like to do it when I get the MS, which should be soon. I know it will be out of efficiency at a low duty cycle, but would it otherwise hurt anything Im not aware of? Pump may or may not be done at the same time with a Walbro 255. Just not sure if its bad to run injectors like that, or if I will get a really horrible running engine. Not a big deal to stay stock till turbo I guess, just have a feeling I have **** injectors and would like to find out without having to send them in and wait for them.

So outside of a little (or alot) rich, I shouldnt expect any horrible issues? I ran rich like an emperor in my RX7, so that doesnt worry me too much. Just have to take a break every now and then to rest my eyes from fumes lol.

It never ceases to amaze me how much fuel Rotary's use. My buddy's 20B with a T88H has 6 1600cc DW Injectors
