Default Where to get my engine built

Well my local search for a shop or builder has been nothing but disappointing and has sticker shocked the hell out of me.

I haven't taken the engine completely apart so I don't the complete damage yet. I'm hoping I'll be able to reuse my JE pistons, but based of the scouring marks on the cyclinder walls I'll probly end up with some supertech pistons and stick all my parts in my spare block. So some machine work will be involved.

I've seen the name John Day get thrown around quite a bit, send him all your parts, charges $1600, and your good to go? Or does that $1600 include any parts?

Or does anyone have any other leads? I'm hoping to have a builder lined up before I take apart the engine, that way I can send the parts off asap, get the built engine back and drop it in. So where to go?

Day quoted me $800 for pistons and rods, $800 in build costs.

I wonder what the additional cost of shipping there and back would be?

Could someone PM me John Day's info? I'd like to get in touch with him to get a quote and hopefully work out some shipping so he can do this for me. Engine is getting ready to be torn apart. Thx!
