Quick question about the stock IAT sensor
Currently don't have much done to my 2001 SE but I did a little modification to the intake for some extra noise and such.
My question is: where should I put the stock IAT sensor? Right now, it's underneath the filter just sitting there. Should I pull the metal pipe out and drill a hole the same size as the one from my stock intake box?
I did a little searching and found that it's not imperative that the sensor read the exact temperature of the air in the intake but I wouldn't want to damage anything by having it in a bad spot
Thanks in advance!

I would think you would want it somewhere the air actually moves, so it doesn't get warm stagnant air. You could probably get away with just making sure it's close enough to the filter so air is being sucked by it and into the filter.
