Rebuilding head: Check out my goo
So I'd love a good explanation for this one. This (following) pic shows my intake side with a stalactite of oil directly beneath the fuel injector. The issue is clearly the failed valve seal, but the oil is going UP to the injector. I've got my theory, but anyone else seen this?
config:
VVT head, original valves and valve guides (a little loose), felpro seals
ID1050x injectors
Pushing 27psi from a 6758
e85
relatively recent (2 years, 5000miles) rebuild, but didn't do the valve guides.
Note that all the other intake cylinders look alright. Also check out the gummed up injector.
Additional: I took this apart because the engine was misfiring and it was obvious cylinder 3 was the problem. It had a very wet spark plug.

Normal for e85 use. Typically running some normal pump through it cleans it. Place your injectors in some normal gas for a few mins and they will come out clean, but you should still have them tested.
After poking around the internet, I agree that this is exactly that - E85 residue.
But why are all 3 of the other intakes clean as a can be? Why is it only the rightmost valve of that 3rd cylinder?
